Robert Allen Naturals & Dallas Market Inspiration

Last week, we ventured over to the Robert Allen showroom for a trunk show featuring their new “Naturals” line. The fabrics we were shown were gorgeous. Much of the line features floral or fauna, and geometric patterns.

Here is an up-close shot of the snakeskin looking fabric! It was so interesting to see and touch.

We were also shown some Beacon Hill outdoor fabrics that had beautiful bright ikat and other geometric patterns. These were made with Sunbrella, which means they won’t be fading in the Texas sun!

Robert Allen has set up a contest on Pinterest to showcase their”Naturals” line. Contestants must create a board showing the fabrics along with furniture and accessories put together in a way that creates a “relaxed sophisticated” theme. Of course we took on the challenge and created a board!

Market Inspiration…

Market is going on this week, and we found some furniture and accessories that are natural and inspiring!

These soy candles by Rewined are scented to imitate the different flavors and smells of wine, with re-purposed wine glass bottles for the holder! The little wax seal on the side indicates which “flavor” it is.

Here are some driftwood framed mirrors, perfect for summertime!

This 10′ tall wooden screen is a thing of beauty.  It’s finished with a hint of gold!

Last but not least, here are woven bowls and mats from a company called Hipego that was located in the Folk Art Market in The World Trade Center.(A new addition this year!) These baskets are all hand-woven in Zambia and are truly works of art!

So, that’s the wrap.  We are really looking forward to incorporating the Naturals fabrics into a project soon!  And, we head to market again today for events and more inspiration!!  Hope you enjoyed!  Have you been to market?  What are some of your favorite things you’ve discovered there?
